About me

I write songs at the intersection of earth and spirit, where the natural world whispers its ancient truths and the soul leans in to listen.

Based in the misty forests outside Seattle, I'm a singer-songwriter drawn to the liminal spaces—those threshold moments between seasons, between silence and sound, between what we know and what we sense but cannot name. My music is rooted in a deep reverence for the natural world and an abiding belief that art can be a form of communion.

My Path
My journey started, literally, as a trail walker with the Anasazi Foundation, guiding others through wilderness therapy experiences. Singing around the campfire, teaching survival skills and leading hikes for weeks at a time through the Sonoran desert. It was then I began to understand that healing happens when we connect to the earth beneath our feet and the sky above our heads. With a background in English literature and a master’s degree in teaching, I've always been captivated by words—especially the challenging, transformative ones found in difficult books that demand our full contemplative attention. My touchstones are the Transcendentalist writers of the 1830s: Thoreau's radical simplicity, Whitman's ecstatic embrace, Emerson's insistence that nature is the teacher. These voices echo through my work, reminding me that the divine is accessible and omni present.

My Musical Influences
My sound draws from the poets who picked up guitars: Joni Mitchell's fearless and emotional honesty, Ani DiFranco's fierce independence and rhythmic complexity, John Denver's pure celebration of wild places. Like them, I believe a song can be both intimate and expansive, personal and universal.

My Life & Inspiration
I share my life with my husband, a psychic astrologer and naturopathic physician, and our four children. Together we've created a world that honors both mystery and medicine, intuition and healing, where the mystical and the practical walk hand in hand, and the cycles of the moon are as real as the changing seasons outside our window.

When I'm not writing or performing, I’m reading with a full stack of books beside me, spending time with my family, or hiking the Enchantments
